When it comes to changing colors, isolating specific areas where the change takes effect is assumed. Rarely does the hue of the entire image need to be changed. In the example above, the walls on set needed to be changed from pink to purple. Even though the model needs to be completely isolated to achieve this change, some purple light still needs to bleed onto the subject to subtly marry the two together. In the image, the walls were also extended to the right, and the placement of the hanging lights were changed.

It's not unusual for an apparel brand to have a limited amount of product on hand. Sometimes, a certain "colorway" for a product has not even been physically produced yet. This is where we come in – to isolate those areas and change the color. In this example, the client needed the light grey of the left pair of shoes to be changed to a very specific shade of dark grey, called "Dark Shadow". In an instance like this, a color swatch is given to make sure the correct desired color is achieved.
