"Compositing" describes the broad act of combining elements from multiple photographs into one final image. The final image in this example is a combination of four different photos. The cool-toned background, the metal material of the product, the LCD screens, and the blue indicator light are each from different images. Before the images are ready to be incorporated into the multi-layered final product, each individual photo is retouched separately to ensure elimination of dust and smudges. Color correction is also done in this phase, before the final composite is constructed.
